The best month, January, is the time to visit the two most affordable cities and the least expensive to fly into Santo, Punta Cana and Domingo. San José, Costa Rica

Costa Rica's capital and largest city, San José, is a must-see for any adventurous traveller. Expect Victorian mansions, nightlife in El Pueblo, a plethora of culture, and ancient espresso plantations in the surrounding area.
